THE MODERN BENONI DEFENCE
The Hromadka (aka. Loose) Gambit

White's P-QB4(c4) inferred 3.Kt-QB3, 4.P-K4 plans.
Black's QBP gambit threatens 3...PxP to tempt White's QP forward (or off-centre), hampering his development. The Benoni is a combination of P-Q4..P-QB4 systems whose name derives from the Hebrew word Ben-Oni (or "child of my sorrow") used in an 1825 chess book title. B-Alt.
