White's early king's bishop took control of Black's Q4(d5) and attacked Black's weak KB2(f7) square.
Black develops a passive Queen's Knight to QB3(c6) to support his KP and control White's Q4(d4), deterring 3.P-Q4 but inviting a Vienna Game variation or else a likely Giuoco Piano. B-Alt.
