Fianchetto Variation

White fianchettoes his King's Bishop on KKt2(g2), dominates the long (ie. centre) light diagonal and enables short castling.
Black castles, bringing his King's Rook into play.

Under FIDE laws of chess, if a player deliberately touches a rook and then his king, he is not allowed to castle on that side on that move but must still move the rook if legally possible.
