ENGLISH OPENING
The Sicilian (aka. King's English) Variation

White advanced his (her) QBP, planning 2.Kt-QB3 to control Q5(d5) without early centre occupation.
Black usually sets an unopposed King's Pawn in the centre, freeing his queen and KB and forming a reversed Sicilian Defence, the most challenging reply in preference to symmetrical play or several possible transpositions into Queen's Gambit and QP openings. B-Alt.
