White's QP to Q3(d3) supported his KP anticipating 4..Kt-B3, and freed his QB to support Kt-KKt5.
Black also posts his Queen's Pawn on Q3(d6) (or sometimes plays 4..Kt-KB3 first), doubling support for his own KP and freeing his QB for use. B-Alt.
