TRANSPOSITION
PILLSBURY DEFENCE to OLD INDIAN DEFENCE

White advanced a solid but rarer (less popular) QBP to QB4(c4), rejecting a strong 2.P-K4 centre.
Black deploys his King's Knight to control K5(e4) and transpose into an "Indian" opening. Barden & Harding's "Guide To Chess Openings" suggests it can be a way to enter the King's Indian or can lead to independent set-ups with a KB on K2(e7). B-Alt.
