Black adopted the Queen's Indian in response to White's KKt, preparing to fianchetto his QB.
White pushes his QRPawn out to QR3(a3) to avoid a QKt pin and prevent 4..B-QKt5+ch. Popularised by world champion Kasparov in the 1980's. W-Alt.
