White's queen to K2(e2) blocked his KB but pinned (and attacked) the Black KP, preventing 4..PxKt.
Black develops his King's Bishop to K2(e7) to prevent check in the event of 5.QxP. Solid but inferior to 4..Kt-KB3, it attracts a later trap. B-Alt.
