Black's KBP removed White's KP on K5(e4) and counter-attacked his KKt, inviting a pawn exchange.
White exchanges but (best) uses his K-side Knight to remove Black's original (ie. rear doubled) KP on K5(e5), threatening Black's QKt and KB2(f7).
