Black's Queen's Rook's Pawn to QR3(a6) attacks the B half-pin. The most popular third Black move, used by American Paul Morphy from 1858. White must now decide whether to take the QKt without material gain, for if the usual 4.B-R4(a4) then ..P-QKt4 may drive it back fully (to break the pin). B-Alt.
