Black filled the vacant centre with his QP unopposed, seeking to control White's K4(e4).
White now advances a supported Queen's Pawn to the centre to control Black's K4 and QB4 (e5+c5), freeing White's QB and providing an alternative development square Q2(d2) for his QKt.
