Black's Semi-Slav KP to K3(e6) tripled support for his QP but enabled White to avoid the later Meran.
White usually develops his Queen to QB2(c2), taking control of K4(e4) and defending his QBP to avoid facing the Semi-Slav main line. W-Alt.
