Orthodox Variation
White's P-Q4(d4) challenge supported 4.P-K5, confident of equality in any immediate P exchange.
Black's QB4(c5) Pawn invariably removes White's QP (to stop a White P-K5 gaining space) and invites capture so as to gain a 2-to-1 centre pawn majority. Compare to Dragon and Scheveningen positions.
