Black's KP push enabled his KB to support his QBP.
White advances his Queen's Knight's Pawn to QKt4(b4), attacking to drag Black off-centre. Introduced in the 1930s, this gambit is more difficult to meet than the original (2.P-QKt4) form but then it gives White less freedom to manoevre. W-Alt.
