Black fianchettoed his king's bishop to dominate the long dark diagonal, planning either ..P-Q4 or ..0-0.
White pushes his KKtPawn out to KKt3(g3) in order to create his own "Indian" bishop and so dominate the long light diagonal (a8-h1). W-Alt.
