DIVIDING BY FRACTIONS

Here's a mnemonic rhyme that explains the rule to apply whenever you're faced with the confusing task of having to divide a whole number by a fraction:

" The number you're dividing by,
Turn upside-down and multiply "

Thus 4 / (½) = 4 * (2/1) = 8
