The Sicilian Variation
White's KKtP push (for a KB fianchetto) signalled a plan to control the centre by indirect play.
Black sometimes answers White's centre invitation by a Queen's Bishop's Pawn advance to QB4(c5) controlling Q5(d4) while waiting for White to declare further intentions. The move is solid but inferior to a number of stronger, more aggressive replies. B-Alt.
