White's king's bishop to QB4(c4) targeted Black's relatively weak KB2(f7) pawn, and enabled castling.
Black avoids a 3..BxP?? trap and pushes his King's Pawn out to K3(e6), blocking a 4.BxP threat against his KBP and freeing his KB for use. B-Alt.
