QUEEN'S GAMBIT DECLINED
(The) Exchange Variation
Black declined White's QBP in orthodox manner.
White's QBPawn on QB4(c4) removes Black's QPawn on Q5(d5) and attacks his KP. A later Q-side minority attack (ie. two pawns attack three by P-QKt4) is common, but White's desire to force an Exchange line so early on is unusual. W-Alt.
